Portrait of a Sadhu
This watercolour portrait was originally a demo painting for one of the Zoom tutorials I've been providing during lockdown. My student was interested in all aspects of Indian spiritualism and Hindu mythology, so a Sadhu (described as 'a religious ascetic, mendicant or any holy person in Hinduism and Jainism who has renounced the worldly life') seemed like an ideal subject.
